Enterprise…say the name and it brings visions of flying through space and going where no one has gone before. The name is celebrated throughout our history by being the name of famous vessels like the old sailing ship named Enterprise…or the aircraft carrier, and even one of our space shuttles is named Enterprise.
Our fascination with this name came from a vision that one man had. He created a sci-fi series that has now spanned generations and still has a devoted following. It has spawned several movies, 3 television series and an actual language institute based of one of the races in the series.
Now we have a new movie that takes us into the prehistory of the original Star Trek series. It is aptly named…Star Trek.
We get to see our favorite characters from the original series when they were young. We get to see the Enterprise being constructed, Kirk, Spock and Bones getting to know each other. And .we get alot of phaser fire, warp speed, and photon torpedoes.
Makes me all a-tingle…
